About Andrew Buffalino
Andrew Buffalino is a painter in oil and acrylic, tracing the world not as it is, but as it shimmers at the edge of memory.
“I am less interested in depicting the world
than in allowing it to shimmer.”
Born on Long Island and tempered by years of drifting through Italy, France, and Austria as a fashion model, he carries a suitcase of light, silhouettes, and fleeting colors that haunt the surfaces of his canvases.
In Sag Harbor, New York, his studio becomes a kind of observatory, where fog, reflections, and geometry quietly negotiate their place on the painted plane. His works hover between dream and architecture, where a line can feel like a horizon or a secret, and a single flare of color can tilt an entire room’s mood.
Each painting is less a picture than a portal—an invitation to step into a slow, eccentric atmosphere where time loosens, and the familiar world tilts just slightly off its axis.
